Review:
I was unable to put this book down. I tried, I really did. I had other things I needed to go and get done, but I couldn't leave this book and these characters.
This is the second book in the Mirror Lake series and we see Meg and Ben trying to find love with one a another.

The death of Meg's brother, Patrick, effected both of them greatly. With Patrick being Meg's brother and Ben's best friend. With both Meg and Ben having to overcome a major obstacle in their lives, they find the comfort and solace with each other.

“Because she did love him, and not from afar, not with the moony dreaminess she’d used as a crutch for so many years, but with a deep, aching tenderness she felt might just kill her.”

Ben is amazing! I absolutely loved him. At first, I wasn't sure I would like him. I mean he is very strong willed and hard to understand, but after a gesture towards Meg, you can't help but love him.

“Do you picture long nights making love by the fire and talking about everything and anything under the sun, and do you have the feeling that of anyone in the world, he just gets you? Like no other person in the world ever can?”

Meg is a very fun and loving character. I liked her instantaneously. She is a hard working, yet emotional woman. She goes through so many range of emotions throughout this novel, that you can't help but feel happy, sorry and upset for her. I felt as though I was going through the emotions right along with Meg.

This book is a definite must read!! I highly recommend it!!

Whatever Life Throws At You by Julie Cross Review!

Wednesday, September 30, 2015 0 Comments

Life loves a good curveball…

Seventeen-year-old Annie Lucas's life is completely upended the moment her dad returns to the major leagues as the new pitching coach for the Kansas City Royals. Now she's living in Missouri (too cold), attending an all-girls school (no boys), and navigating the strange world of professional sports. But Annie has dreams of her own—most of which involve placing first at every track meet…and one starring the Royals' super-hot rookie pitcher.

But nineteen-year-old Jason Brody is completely, utterly, and totally off-limits. Besides, her dad would kill them both several times over. Not to mention Brody has something of a past, and his fan club is filled with C-cupped models, not smart-mouthed high school “brats” who can run the pants off every player on the team. Annie has enough on her plate without taking their friendship to the next level. The last thing she should be doing is falling in love.

But baseball isn't just a game. It's life. And sometimes, it can break your heart…

Review:
This story had me captivated from the very first page. It is an incredible standalone with a HEA. This is my first book by Julie Cross; however, after this book, it definitely won't be the last.

“Pressure is just that—pressure. It’s all in your head. It has nothing to do with what you can or can’t do.”

Annie Lucas is a 17 year old with aspirations to have a career on the track. Out of the blue, one day her dad gets a phone call and is offered the job of a lifetime. He is offered to be a pitching coach for the Kansas City Royals Baseball team. It is because of this that they then move away from their "home" and begin a life in a new place. In Kansas Annie runs into Jason Brody.

“Kansas City, that’s like in Kansas, right?” I ask. “Missouri,” Frank and Dad both correct.”

Jason Brody, the next big thing in baseball. A 19 year old who dropped out of high school is now living the life many only dream of having. With him being 19 of course he is drawn to Annie. The only problem, she's the coaches daughter and underage. You can't help love though and these two are quickly developing feelings for each other.

“He said if I was good enough to throw a perfect game, I’d be good enough to date his daughter.”

I absolutely loved this novel. Everything about it captivated and drew me in from the start until the very last page. I definitely recommend reading this book to anyone in the mood for a light, yet compelling read.
HUGE 5 STARS!!!

Crazy For Him by Sofia Tate Review!

Saturday, September 26, 2015 0 Comments
For fans of Sylvia Day and Samantha Young, comes a new contemporary erotic romance novella from Sofia Tate. "BREATHLESS FOR HIM left me breathless. Sofia Tate has taken sexy billionaire romance up a notch with a spicy dash of suspense. Passionate and perfect." --Cecilia Tan, author of Slow Surrender

Review:

This book is a novella and spin-off of the series. Sofia Tate has once again written a novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. I felt the love between Thomas and Luciana. They each seemed to love each other so deeply and passionately.
This book did not take me very long to read. I read it in one sitting with no breaks. It is a very short read which is also very enjoyable.
Some scenes were heartbreaking and had me yelling at my kindle, practically telling them what to do to sort out their problems. Thomas has a very heartbreaking storyline that comes up in this book which will have you understanding a lot more about why he is the way he is.
You don’t have to read the other book in the series in order to understand what is happening; however, it will also make reading this novella a little bit more enjoyable.

Addicted To Sin by Monica James Review!

Friday, September 25, 2015 0 Comments

Tell me your deepest, darkest secrets. I dare you.
Addiction comes down to one simple, primitive concept. Desire.
My name is Dr. Dixon Mathews, and I’m New York’s finest shrink. For $500 an hour, people tell me their darkest, most sinful secrets.
My own addiction? Sex.
I might be certified in solving other people’s problems, but not mine –
I know I’m a lost cause. I don’t do relationships. I don’t even do the same woman twice.
But that’s all about to change, thanks to two entirely different women who awaken my deepest desires.
Who will I choose?
I know who I should choose, but I never said I was the hero of this story, or even the good guy. And besides, who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?
My tale isn’t for the faint-hearted. If you’re game, strap yourself in and expect the unexpected. But don’t say I didn’t warn you…
Achingly sexy and highly addictive, the first in the Sinful Pleasures Series will have you hooked. Driven to Sin coming very soon…

Review:
This book is incredible!!!! I loved every delicious second of it!

"Who wants to be good, when it feels so good to be bad"

Dixon is unlike any character I have read about before. You really want to hate him; however, you can't, because you end up loving him. He is a complete manwhore.

“Women are trouble, and I plan on living like Hugh Hefner.”
“Old, lonely and addicted to Viagra?”

Once upon a time, he had his heart broken and his way of coping with it is having sex with many women. That is, until he is drawn to two separate women.

Juliet is a sex addict with many bad habits. Madison, is innocent. She is funny, charming and sweet. She has hid from people all her life, until Dixon walks in and changes things. She wants to open up to him, but is she capable?

Dixon and these two women each share something different. This aspect is completely believable considering each woman is so different. He has the hot sex with Juliet, but with Madison he feels something he hasn't felt in a long time, something deeper.

“But I never said I was the hero of this story, or even the good guy. And besides, who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?”

I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait for more. I need it now!!!!
This is a huge 5 Star Read!!

Monster Prick by Kendall Ryan Cover Reveal!

Friday, September 25, 2015 0 Comments

Over my dead body.
That's what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.
If anyone is touching her, it's going to be me.
I shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.
***
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.
Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.
When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.
He says if anyone’s going to do, it’s going to be him.
I hate that I’m even considering his offer.
But I am … I sooo am.
Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.
But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?
MONSTER PRICK, a sexy romantic comedy, is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

“What if I could help you?”

I have no idea what the hell I was thinking. The words just leaped out of my mouth. Listening to Gracie talk about kicking off her granny panties and popping her cherry with some random Internet dick...I guess it drove me temporarily insane.

But there's no taking back the idea now. Gracie sucks in her breath, blinking wide-eyed. “What do you mean?” she asks.

What do I mean? Here I am, sitting next to the world's most beautiful girl—drowning in her eyes, her scent, the gentle puff of her breath on my mouth that begs me to close the distance. I know what I want, but I also know what will happen if I take it. My best friend will rip off my balls and feed them to me. And I'll probably deserve every second.

But sweet Jesus, I'm pretty sure Gracie wants this, too, and that's enough to blow my better judgment to pieces. All I care about right now is making her feel better. In as many ways as possible. And if her slightly quickened breathing, blown pupils, and flushed cheeks are anything to go by...

As an experiment, I dart out the tip of my tongue to wet my lips. Her darkened eyes drop like a magnet yanked them. Yeah, bingo. Having a little black book as thick as the dictionary has its advantages. I know damn well how to tell when a woman wants me.

House of Payne: Rude by Stacy Gail Release Blitz!

Thursday, September 24, 2015 0 Comments

Title: House Of Payne: Rude
Series: House of Payne #4
Author: Stacy Gail
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: September 21, 2015

Blurb

The Last Thing She Wanted…

From the moment Sass Stone overheard her social worker call her “broken,” she’s been hell-bent on proving her wrong. A broken woman doesn't have a posse of kickass friends, a foodie lover’s dream job and a string of pretty boys she enjoys playing with. Sure, she has scars, but they’re buried so far down no one even knows they’re there. Certainly her former foster brother, Rudolfo Panuzzi doesn’t know about them. The man she’d dubbed “Rude” could sniff around all he wanted, but it wasn’t going to get him anywhere. He’d never get inside—her pants, or her heart.

…Was The One Thing She Needed

A dozen years and several combat tours in the Marines has a way of maturing a man, and Rude is no exception. His last mission killed his closest friends and almost killed him, leaving him with wounds on both body and soul. When he looks in the mirror, the haunted eyes staring back remind him far too much of his sexy little foster sister, Sass. That’s when he knows there’s more to her than he ever imagined… and he’s imagined one hell of a lot.

When Want And Need Collide

One by one, Rude destroys the defenses that have kept Sass locked inside herself. But even as she reluctantly allows him to coax her out of her shell, a dark cloud casts its shadow on their world. Is it something from his past… or hers?

***This is the fourth book in the House Of Payne series, but each book can be read as a standalone. Not intended for readers under the age of 18 due to adult language and sexual content***

Review:
An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review!
Another must read novel from Stacy Gail! This is not the first book I have read by this author; however, this is by far my favourite!! I absolutely loved the connection shared by Sass and Rude. To me, they had an undeniable chemistry that kept pulling them together, not matter what the circumstance. Some of the scenes in this book are hot and will leave you wanting even more. I highly recommend reading the other books in the House of Payne series, not because they are a continuation, but because they are all so good, you need to read them.
This is a 4 star read!

Excerpt

The upside for Sass in throwing down the gauntlet was watching the surprise bloom in Rude’s eyes.

The downside was watching him pick it up.

“About time you gave me some kind of response.” The satisfaction in his tone unnerved her far more than any hostility ever could. “I was beginning to think you were slow on the uptake.”

“So you admit it. You admit to fucking with me. Good for you.” She nodded, a mocking tilt of her head designed to piss off a saint. “At least you’ve got the balls to own up to it. The question is why.”

He slow-blinked. “Why am I fucking with you?”

“Yes.”

“Oh shit, my bad. You are slow on the uptake.” With a sigh that held a world of patience, Rude pushed to his feet. “Okay, fair enough. I guess I’ll have to show you. Get up for a second.”

Confused all over again and not sure what he could possibly show her to make his motives clear, she did as he asked, setting aside her napkin and rising from her chair just as he came around to her side of the table. Before she was prepared for it, his arms closed around her and his lips descended to cover hers.

Oh…God.

That was the last conscious thought she had before the world as she knew it went up in flames.

His arms were like a cage around her, holding her as if he expected her to make a break for it. The logical side of her brain insisted that was exactly what she should do, but Rude’s lips on hers negated all logic.

It negated it because he felt so unbelievably good.

The best part about his kiss was that he wasn’t at all shy about it. His mouth boldly took possession of hers as if he’d waited his whole life to do it. No, the best part about his kiss was the way he slanted his mouth against hers in search of the perfect fit.

Then his lips opened hers, and she decided then that the caress of his tongue was the absolute best part. He was openly seductive in how he invaded her mouth, as if he wanted to woo and dazzle her with every stroke. It had to be working, because she was pushing feverishly against him without conscious thought. But she couldn’t help herself. If he’d wanted to woo and dazzle her, he had succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

A big hand slid under her hair to cradle the back of her head. He held her in place as he deepened the pressure, and the barely contained passion in his intensity became the best part. She stood on her tiptoes in response, a mindless move to lose herself in the heat of him while her fingers dug into the fabric covering his back.

If he’d been naked, her fingernails would have left marks.

Review:
Another incredible colouring book for adults! Featured in this book is a variety of different animals and plants. Many of these images are not very detailed; however, they are still time consuming. Some of the other images are very detailed and intricate taking up substantial time. I very much liked the harder images; however, I was not a huge fan of the simpler ones.

I love this colouring book. I am still working my way through it, since it has over 120 different designs. Many of them remind me of the past and vintage designs you see in movies. Each design is unique and different. Many of the designs are very intricate and take some time to complete. This book is also highly suggested to help you calm down and relieve stress.
I would highly recommend this colouring book.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell Review!

Monday, September 21, 2015 0 Comments

Two misfits.

One extraordinary love.

Eleanor... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor.

Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Review:
I absolutely love stories about first loves. This story will have you falling along with Eleanor and Park. The entire time I wanted to be there, with the characters cheering them on.

The story takes place as two high school students navigate the pressures of being in a high school. Their relationship initially develops on the school bus. It is because of this that I found the storyline believable and quite realistic.

Eleanor has a very bad home situation and is therefore bullied at school due to her unique clothing style and image that she portrays.

“My girlfriend is sad and quiet and keeps me up all night worrying about her.”

Park is always dressed in black with headphones in his ears and a comic book in hand. He is kind of an outsider and does not fit in that well either.

"Nobody thinks Asian guys are hot”, Park said finally. He had not look away from her when he said it – way away, he turned his head completely. “Not here, anyway. I assume Asian guys do all right in Asia.”

Eleanor and Park quickly got to know one another and began to realize that they were developing real feelings for each other.

"Okay?” she whispered. He nodded, taking a deep breath. They both stared down at their hands. Jesus.”

“Holding Eleanor's hand was like holding a butterfly. Or a heartbeat. Like holding something complete, and completely alive.”

This story is a definite must read! I give it a huge 4 stars!
