Review:
Seraphina's Awakening constantly had me on the edge of my seat wondering what direction the story was going to go in next!
Within this novel, we are introduced to Sera, a young woman who works at an unenjoyable job while having dreams at night. We are also introduced to Nate who is introduced as being Sera's guardian on earth. Both of these characters are incredible dynamic. They each have a past and a future which is unknown. When you think you know one thing about them, or finally gain an impression about them, your mind might be changed by the very next page.

Generally, I am not a huge paranormal romance fan, no matter how minor it is to the plot. I decided to take a chance with this novel, with the hopes that I would enjoy it. I can now say, with 100% certainty that I did more than just enjoy this novel, I completely fell in love with it! This book is about so much more than simply paranormal elements and romance. You get to watch Seraphina on her journey of self-discovery and finding herself.

This novel made me fall even more in love with Sheena's writing than I was before! I cannot wait to read Seraphina's Intuition, the next book in this incredible series!

1) What was the last book you read that you fell in love with?
Throne of Glass from Sarah Maas. I just love a girl that can kick a little butt!
2) When you're not writing, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Reading! I think every author is (or should be) and avid reader. Books are my passion whether I'm writing or reading.
3) In your opinion, what makes a great story?
Plot, a little suspense, a hilarious best friend, and a strong main character.
4) When did you first realize you wanted to become an author?
When I had stories inside of me that were bursting to come out.
5) What was your inspiration behind Seraphina's Awakening?
A crazy dream I had. It haunted me all day long until I had to put it down on paper... the rest is just history.
6) If Seraphina's Awakening were turned into a movie, which actors/actresses do you picture as the lead roles?
Seraphina is like a movie in my head already. If I had to pick a actress for Seraphina, it would have to be Lily Collins. I just LOVE her. For Nate, I always picture a young Ian Somerhalder. For Jack, Alex Pettyfer is my top choice. (Swoon)
7) What is your current work in progress about?
Well, Seraphina's Initiation (book two) releases in February, so Seraphina's Vengeance is book three in the series is what I'm perfecting. Its what happens when Sera has just had enough.
8) Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t included?
The Discovering Trilogy is my contemporary series for those not into the paranormal aspect. Most of my books center around a college age woman that's coming into her own and the various complications of love.
