What an absolutely phenomenal read from AL Jackson!
I completely fell in love with this second-chance story. Right from the very first page, I was hooked, both by the plot line, and the characters. Every single character in this novel, including the minor characters were so intriguing to read about. The main characters, in particular Maxon, undergoes so many changes, and revelations within the course of the story, that you can't help but want to know every single thing about him. He has a way of captivating attention, and making sure that you know exactly what you are supposed to be feeling.
I have read and loved every single novel from AL Jackson, and this novel was no exception. I loved this novel so much, I would be willing to say that it is one of my all time favourite reads from AL Jackson. With each and every novel, her characters become more intriguing, and more captivating. Her writing contains so much depth and evolution, that will leave readers hanging on to every word right up to the last page.
If I could give this novel a million stars I would. It has instantly become my favourite read of the year. I guarantee, in December, it will be on my all time-favourite reads. Everyone needs to pick up this book for themselves today.
